The Villages Vintage Car Club needs some gift cards for donation to Veterans at Hospice and Palliative care units for preventive items from Corona Virus (COVID 19). I HAVE DCIDED TO MAKE IT A PERSONAL DUTY. I WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REIMBURSEMENT.

The Covid-19 virus has increased in the number of cases in the last 3 days (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) to a total number of cases of 823 in the Tri-County Area. Instead of going down, it’s going up. As President, I feel it is imperative that our Web Site, TVVCC, NOT POST ANY CAR SHOWS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. I have received several calls from non-members in the last few days, that saw car shows for this Saturday on our Web Site and wanted information on how they can go to the Cruise-In Car Show at Spanish Springs. We have been posting car shows on a regular basis and I don’t want anyone getting the virus because they want to go to these shows. I don’t want any of our members or non-members to get sick because of our Web Site. There is no telling how many people view the web site and that is a scary thing. We don’t encourage anyone to go to the car shows, PERIOD. With that said, Diana and I continue to Pray for Everyone, and if you need our help, we are just a phone call away. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4 We now have 54 cars signed up for the show @ Lake Sumter Square. We will be starting to form an alternate list in case someone is unable to attend that day. Thanks, to everyone that responded. This is helping the club make a great showing. We will be staging the cars behind Sonnys as usual. Please try to be there between 3:00 and 3:45. A Car count will be done at 4:00 by the Villages.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9 Sonic Drive-In, Summerfield, Florida 5:00-7:00

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19 Our monthly cruise-in at Spanish Springs.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 21 Our car club monthly meeting Truman Rec. Center 6:00 PM

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25 October 25th Trunk or Treat Brownwood Paddock Square (more info to follow)

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 2, (rain date, November 9), Orange Blossom Hills Homeowners Association 9230 SE 154th St. Summerfield, Fl. 10-5 pm All Makes and Models welcome $5.00 per vehicle. Day of the show the registration is $8.00. Give your registration to Daryl for early registration.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 30, Marion Therapeutic Riding Association (more information to follow)

The monthly Sonic outing scheduled for October 10th has been canceled and rescheduled for October 17th.
