The Villages Vintage Car Club showed up early on a cold, windy Saturday to support The Turner Syndrome Walk on 02/06/2016 at The Villages Polo Club.
There was BBQ sandwiches, hot dogs with chips, soda, coffee, hot chocolate, a cash bar provided by Katie Belles. The Villages Charter High School Golden Girls performed and The Villages Vintage Car Club was there with their cars.
There was a chance to win up to $10,000! The Villages Vintage Car Club purchased two $100 dollar tickets in hopes of winning the big prize. The winner hasn’t been identified yet but it wasn’t our group.
A BIG Thank You to the brave group that showed up Saturday morning!

The club participated in the Don Garlits Toys for Kids show on Dec 5, 2015. This a Premiere Show every year. Great location and lots of cars. We had a good turn out for this show . Club member John Howard wins Don Garlits Choice trophy.
The trunks went up and kids came out . It was a spooktacular event. More like a marathon. The crowds were HUGE. In addition to the candy provided by club members additional candy that was collected by The Villages at the regional Rec Centers was delivered to the 25 cars by a 4 wheel wagon. Somewhere in excess of ten wagon loads delivered to each car. It was nonstop from 3pm to 7pm when the supply was exhausted. So were all the club members. Everyone worked / played until they could no longer stand.
As the evening went on the club members were entertained by Witches, tall people, clowns, and adults that went all out on their costumes. Not sure if you could have fit anyone else on to the streets of Brownwood.
The cars were judged by the Villages staff and awards were handed out. Two Goulash looking children Zack and CJ helped distribute the awards. Additional pictures of the award winners are on the recent photos page. What a fun event.
The 2015 Pumpkin Run and show was a three day fun event. The 50/50 was a Great success. Thanks to all the members who stepped up and worked and sold those hundreds of tickets. A video from the event on the recent video page.
